Doing a portrait,using prisma colored pencils. I usually use good acid free paper but want to do something ?
different. Maybe use some cold press board or something like that. What are some suggestions anyone that is familiar with the prisma pencils. I love them and I use them all the time . I want to 'jazz' this portrait up though. It is of two young girls,sisters. The photo I am working from is in black and white. There is a bit of a nice back ground in the photo also. I am going to include it but I definitely want the girls to be predominate.I was thinking on doing a water color wash for the background and then having the girls in the pencil and fading the detail out on the wash .I can't remember though when you use water color, is it hot press or cold press board that you use ??And if anyone has any suggestions of anything different please share

i went to michaels the other day, and i saw all the different kinds of prisma colors.well, i saw one that said VERITHIN prisma colored pencils.and they were ALOT cheaper than the original prisma colored pencils.i understand that the VERITHIN one has a thinner point, but i still don't get why it'd be cheaper.do u know why??

this question is being asked because i have noticed that prisma premium are more expensinve than just regular oldprisma coloured pencil crayons. Is there a reason for this? Is there a difference between the two sets of pencil crayons? What's the difference?p.s why does Micheals charge like $50 for regular prisma pencil crayons while places like Curry's charge on $35??
