How large a set of colored pencils of renowned brands is available in the market ?
i am aware of the set of 150 by prismacolour and 500 by felissimo .i would like to know if there is any other brand which offers a set in the range of 150 500 .please specify the cost if known . i want to know about ones which are already present in the market but are not available on online stores .

Whats the best drawing graphite pencil brand? and for watercolor? and colored pencils? and a GREAT eraser?
I really like drawing portraits, and life like stuff, I ain't looking for the ones with more options or the one which has lots of colors or the cheapest. I'm looking in the graphite ones in which i can smudge and create lots of shadows, preferable ones which don't leave lots of marks one my sketching paper I erase, A LOT , in the watercolor ones which are great colors, and colored pencils which are easily smudged and aren't like the HORRIBLE faber castell eco friendly ones, I wasted a lot of $$ on a huge set which broke every 2 seconds and were very hard to draw with YUCK, i heard that Derwert are great and good quality but also heard that some people say prisma color is great, but I think they say that because of the variety, the Derwert Inktense look nice too for watercolor pencils, sorry for the LONG detail but I need this answer fast becasuse I'm going to get them this weekend, please?? and thank you for reading THIS.The only stores i have near to buy in are STAPLES & MICHAELS
Hey artists! Is it okay to mix Crayola colored pencils with Prismacolor colored pencils?
Opinions? Experience? Thanks. I ran out of brown and am planning on using a brown Crayola instead...I already started a bit on the brown. I don't have much experience with colored pencils and I'm not sure if it looks good or bad...It's not TOO much that i butchered it though. Nothing that can't be fixed. Any answers? Suggestions...?Actually I ran out of brown BEFORE I started this piece. So I'm starting WITH the crayola brown...and have a few shades over the green already which is the first color I layed down . Does Crayola mix well with Prismacolor?
Coloring with colored pencils?
I have trouble shading with colored pencils for some reason... I can't get the colors to blend, and I always get the darks and the lights mixed up Help??
Using acrylics and colored pencils ?
I wanted to try and do a painting with acrylic paint and colored pencils. I was wondering whether it would be okay to do such a thing on regular gessoed canvas ? Also people say that you can't really mix colored pencils and acrylics together ??? Like they can't overlap each other ? Would it be better to color with colored pencils and then go back over with acrylics to add more depth and detail to the picture ? If you don't know what I'm saying look up the movie poster artist Drew Struzan. All his stuff is done with acrylics and colored pencils.
Can colored pencils be recycled?
I have a giant box of colored pencils I'm going through and there are a bunch that are still long, but the lead inside is broken and won't sharpen without falling out that I don't want. Should I throw them away in the trash or put them in the recycling?
Question about Acrylic paints and colored pencils ?
Pretty soon I want to start my first real venture into serious painting. I wanted to try out acrylic paints and a colored pencil combination. When you do them on a regular canvas, do you gessoe it first before doing anything then draw out what you want in pencil ?? Also would it be better to use colored pencils for the regular color and then go back in with the acrylics for details.

I can sketch great, but only in regular pencils. The color pencils I have tried are very hard and difficult to blend. Do colored pencils exist that are as soft as an 8B? I would even be happy with a 2 or 4B softness I want to move to a color medium but have no clue which to buy Thanks.
